Free Fun Fridays

The Edward Gorey House again participates in the 10th annual Free Fun Fridays program sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation. Over 80 museums and cultural venues across Massachusetts will be participating in this year's eventopening their doors for free on specific Fridays throughout the summer. The Edward Gorey House will be open at no cost to visitors all day long on the 29th of June.

10th Annual Fantastagorey

Once again, the Edward Gorey Houses biggest event of the year is unfurled on Saturday, August 4th. Fantastagorey Day is an All-Free-for-All afternoon of kids' fun at the Gorey Housea celebration of reading, books, animals, storytelling, the somewhat scary, the quite funny, and all things Gorey.

In addition to free admission to the House, kids of all ages, even adult kids, will enjoy facepainting, ongoing readings of both Gorey's books as well as other authors, maskmaking, bookmaking puppet-making (as well as puppetshows where the creations get put to work), scavenger hunts and free snacks and beverages. Fantastagorey Day happens rain or shine and encompasses both the inside and grounds of the museum as well as the Gorey Barn. Bring the family down (kids from 1 to 93) to enjoy a summer afternoon at Edwards House. 

A 100% ennui-free day!

All Around the Commons Day

The House again offers free admission all day long, as will the Capt. Bangs Hallet House across the Commons, the Winslow Crocker House, and the New Church across 6A.  FREE



December 2nd, 2018

Noon to 4pm

Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll

Visit the museums, bed & breakfasts, inns, and businesses along the Old King's Highway in the famed section known as The Captain's Mile. Free refreshments and entertainment are to be be found throughout. The Edward Gorey House will offer free admission that day as will the Captain Bangs Hallet House, the New Church, and the Winslow Crocker House.
